BRIEF SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the Center operations; including home health agency and adult day care center
components, maintaining strategic overall directions, clinical functions, and quality of the
Agency’s ongoing functions. Implements and supervises the administrative policies and
provision of all services. Has responsibility for full compliance with all State and Federal
Regulations and Accreditations. 24-hour accountability for the overall planning, development,
implementation, and ongoing operation including patient care management and supervision of the
multi-disciplinary team. Continuously plans, assesses and evaluates the service and quality of
care provided. Builds relationships with key stakeholders. Promotes and maintains good public
relations within the department, the organization and community. Makes independent decisions
based on sound judgment in relation to patient care and day-to-day management. Exercise prudence
in fiscal responsibility and maintains adherence to department budgets.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATION:
Texas Licensed Nursing Home Administrator or Registered Nurse required. Must have a Bachelor's
degree or equivalent, and will meet educational training requirements of the TX Dept of Aging
& Disability Services. Advanced preparation and/or a minimum five years of healthcare
experience required with at least one year of management or supervisory experience in a
health-related setting. Management experience in a Medicare certified HHA and/or Medicaid
certified Adult Day Care Center is a plus. Has not been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor
relating to license denial, suspension, or revocation. Has not been employed in the last year as
an administrator with another agency at the time the agency was cited with violations that
resulted in enforcement action taken against the agency related to license and injunction. Must
have knowledge of accreditation requirements, licensure acquisition and maintenance quality
improvement programs, reimbursement patterns for Medicare and other payers, and fiscal
operations. Demonstrates a strong historical track record of performance excellence in the areas
of budgeting, strategic planning and development, meeting departmental targets on time, employee
turnover and satisfaction, operational performance and maintaining compliance to regulatory
requirements.
